The Maker, the Mission
& the GOOse with Opinions

Depending on how you count, the Maker in this story may be God, my daughter, me—or the goose who now behaves as though she owns the place.PesterKin Studio took nearly two years to pull together. It began with hopeful ideas, half-built plans, creative detours, several bouts of overthinking, and one determined woman trying to turn a lifetime of writing, art, faith, humor, and hard-earned wisdom into a retirement piggy bank with a mission.Then the approaching 250th anniversary of the United States—and a timely nudge from my sister-in-law, Cheri—finally kicked me into gear. My inclusive nature promptly wandered down a historical rabbit hole as I began learning more about the many people who participated in the struggle for independence, including those too often left outside the familiar pictures.That is where the art began.From there, PesterKin grew into five colorful corners: Americana & Celebrations, The Quiet Grove, Moxie Darling, Goose Worthy, and the PesterKin Pop-Up Shop. Each offers a different way to bring encouragement into view—through comfort, courage, remembrance, personalization, celebration, hope, and the occasional honking opinion nobody requested.The work is still growing, one image, one product, and one slightly unruly idea at a time.
